In 84 career NHL appearances, he has a 2-11–13 scoring line, a -8 rating and was averaging 13: 33 of ice time per game; assuming the Flyers recall him, that ice time should move closer to 20 minutes with potential power-play opportunity.

Brink is listed at 5'8" and 169 lbs but is noted for playing larger than his size and is on pace for 100 hits this season. The Wild remain open to adding more physical depth, but Brink’s finishing uptick and middle-six usage address a clear need for scoring depth. For Philadelphia, the swap moves a position of excess into a position of need: the team gains a right-shot defender who can challenge for top-four minutes down the stretch.
