Saratoga Springs Woman Found Dead; Husband Named ‘Person of Interest’
A tragic situation has unfolded in Saratoga Springs, where a woman was found dead, and her husband is now considered a key figure in the ongoing investigation.
Missing Woman Found Dead
Jeusselem Elieth Genese Vitola, a 43-year-old native of Venezuela, was reported missing along with her husband, Alvaro Jose Urbina Rojas, aged 57. The couple was last seen by family members on Thursday morning. They had been married for 19 years and shared two children. Recent discussions about a potential divorce had reportedly taken place.
Investigation Underway
Authorities were alerted to the couple’s disappearance when family members notified the Saratoga Springs Police Department. According to initial reports, neither individual exhibited suicidal tendencies, and both had no serious health issues or legal troubles.
Attempts to locate the couple included trying to ping their cell phones. However, Jeusselem’s phone was found to be turned off, while Alvaro’s phone was last traced to the Draper area.
Discovery of Body
On Tuesday, police obtained a search warrant for a storage unit in Draper owned by Rojas. Inside the unit, they discovered Jeusselem’s lifeless body. Following this discovery, it was determined that Rojas had left Utah and traveled to California.
Appeal for Information
The Saratoga Springs Police Department is currently collaborating with local authorities, the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Border Patrol in their investigation. They have issued a description of Alvaro Rojas, stating that he has black hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs approximately 193 pounds.
Vehicle Information
Rojas is believed to be driving a 2005 gray Toyota Sequoia. The vehicle bears a unique Utah “Arches” style license plate, numbered T40 9YB.
