Kelly Osbourne mentioned as Robbie Williams leads supergroup tribute to Ozzy

Robbie Williams will lead a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne as the rocker is posthumously honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award, and kelly osbourne is named among family ties in the story of his long career. The Brit Awards ceremony in Manchester will close with a Sharon Osbourne‑curated arrangement of No More Tears fronted by Williams.

Tribute arranged by Sharon Osbourne

The special arrangement of No More Tears was curated by Sharon Osbourne and is set to close the show on the night. The Brit Awards said Williams was personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to be part of the moment, described as "a long-standing fan of the music and friend of the family. " The tribute is intended to commemorate Ozzy’s impact and influence on music worldwide.

Kelly Osbourne and family note

Ozzy previously hosted The Brit Awards in 2008, along with Sharon and his two children, kelly osbourne and Jack. The Osbournes reality TV series in the 2000s also brought Ozzy and his family wider recognition, starring alongside his wife Sharon and their two youngest children.

Williams to front No More Tears

Williams, the Stoke-on-Trent born artist, has recent connections to Ozzy’s music: last year he teamed up with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi on the single Rocket and has previously performed sections of Paranoid at a live performance. He will front the specially arranged No More Tears performance at the Brit Awards.

Musicians joining Williams onstage

The tribute will feature musicians who played as part of Ozzy’s band over the years, including Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde. The performance follows other high-profile tributes, such as at the US Grammys where Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt performed a cover of War Pigs.

Brit Awards ceremony details

The Brit Awards will take place on Saturday at Manchester's Co-op Live and will be hosted by Jack Whitehall. It is the first time in the event's history that the ceremony will be held outside of London. Performances on the night will include EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — the singing voices of HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters — Alex Warren, Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, Mark Ronson, Raye, Rosalía, Sombr and Wolf Alice.

Stacey Tang, chair of the 2026 Brit Awards Committee and co-president of RCA Records at Sony Music UK, said: "Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide. "

Ozzy’s final months and legacy

Osbourne died last July; he passed away on 22 July from a reported heart attack, having faced significant health challenges in preceding years. Those challenges included multiple surgeries after a fall in February 2019 and a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. He died just weeks after his farewell performance in his hometown of Birmingham and, other accounts, just over two weeks after his "Back To The Beginning" farewell concert, where he reunited with his bandmates.

Over five decades, Ozzy racked up more than 100 million worldwide album sales. His discography includes 19 studio albums and eight live albums with Black Sabbath and another 13 studio albums as a solo artist. Black Sabbath, formed in 1968, are widely credited with pioneering and popularising the heavy metal genre.

Industry accolades for Ozzy include five Grammy awards, induction into both the UK Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — both with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, in separate years — and the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement, with Black Sabbath.

The ceremony will also recognise new and established artists: Jacob Alon has been announced as the winner of this year's Critics' Choice award, Noel Gallagher will be presented with Brits Songwriter of the Year and PinkPantheress will be honoured with the Brits Producer of the Year award.

The tribute led by Robbie Williams, curated by Sharon Osbourne and featuring musicians who have played with Ozzy over the years, will serve as the closing moment of a Brit Awards ceremony staged in Manchester for the first time outside London.
