World Heavyweight Title Match
The World Heavyweight Title Match lists CM Punk (c) vs. Finn Bálor. Kaboly writes that CM Punk cannot lose in his hometown of Chicago. It just can’t happen. He describes not having Punk holding the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42 as a longshot at best. Kaboly frames the match as Punk competing in front of his people against an opponent with whom he has had great matches and says Punk will (and has to) win cleanly to keep the Punk vs. Roman Reigns main event intact for WrestleMania. Kaboly adds that this is more about Bálor and creating a program with him that can lead to WrestleMania. Enter Dominik Mysterio: the Intercontinental Champion has had some issues with his Judgment Day brother for some time, and it will finally come to a head at WWE Elimination Chamber. Prediction: Punk defeats Bálor, who then gets attacked inside the ring by "Dirty" Dom.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match
The Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match lists Becky Lynch (c) vs. AJ Lee. Kaboly notes AJ Lee has been a thorn in the side of Becky Lynch ever since she returned to WWE and that Lee hasn’t had a singles match in almost 11 years. He calls Lee’s first singles match in that span one of the most decorated and ruthless matchups and frames an AJ Lee victory as a hard sell—unless Lee gets to raise the title in her city and hold on to the gold for a short period of time, which then sets up a rematch at WrestleMania 42. Kaboly says everything points toward Lynch retaining, most notably how she has been defeated by Lee since her return, but he invokes the Roddy Piper line—"Once you think you know that answers, I change the questions. " He closes this section with a counterintuitive pick: Prediction: AJ Lee defeats Becky Lynch.
Men’s Elimination Chamber contenders
The Men’s Elimination Chamber match lists Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Trick Williams vs. Logan Paul vs. LA Knight. Kaboly guarantees two things will come out of this match: Je’Von Evans will wow us, and Randy Orton will catch Evans with a spectacular RKO at some point in the match. He narrows the contest to what he sees as a three-man race—Orton, Cody Rhodes and LA Knight—saying Knight has a real chance but that he cannot see WrestleMania 42 taking place without Cody Rhodes being in a main event Title Match. Kaboly points to Jey Uso being taken out by a mystery man on SmackDown as opening the door for Vision member Logan Paul to take the sixth and final spot over Jacob Fatu, and that sequence solidified to him a Cody against Drew McIntyre Title Match at WrestleMania. Kaboly adds that if Fatu would’ve slid in to the Chamber, that might have changed the calculus. He concedes the possibility of Rhodes finally giving in to subtle heel hints but suggests that most fans might be disappointed if that happens. He closes by calling it a straightforward, workmanlike performance by Rhodes that sends him
Predictions and key moments
Kaboly’s clear predictions: Punk defeats Bálor and is then attacked by "Dirty" Dom; AJ Lee defeats Becky Lynch; and the Chamber will feature a memorable showing from Je’Von Evans, an RKO by Randy Orton, and a likely push for Cody Rhodes toward a WrestleMania 42 title match. The sequence of Jey Uso’s removal on SmackDown, Logan Paul taking the final Chamber slot over Jacob Fatu, and the Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio’s issues with Judgment Day are all presented as factors shaping the card.
Expect elimination chamber 2026 to be framed as the next step on the Road to WrestleMania 42, with Kaboly’s picks emphasizing hometown momentum, surprise upsets and matchups intended to carry forward to WrestleMania.
