Production designer Alison Gartshore created a GoFundMe in Braimbridge’s honor to help support his family after the tragedy in May 2025. Gartshore wrote that Nick Braimbridge was a hugely talented scenic artist who very sadly passed away, and described him as an expert faux finisher known for exquisite marbling and wood grain finishes whose knowledge was built up over years working with top-end interior designers and later in film and television.
Gartshore added that she had worked closely with Braimbridge and that he was an integral part of the art department team: a delightful, charming, funny man — a true gent. She said everyone who met him loved him and that the team are very upset by his passing and that he will be greatly missed. Gartshore also noted that Braimbridge very tragically lost his wife to cancer just before Christmas this year, and that he has now also passed away, leaving behind two daughters, Flora and Amelia, who are both still teenagers. The fundraising page, which aims to support Braimbridge’s daughters, is still active.
Tony Cooper’s work as a unit driver
Tony Cooper served as a unit driver, transporting cast, crew, equipment and more around sets and to various filming locations. He also drove on the Queen Charlotte spinoff. His other credits include work on The Crown, The Batman, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Black Widow; other projects attributed to his credits include the Mission: Impossible franchise and the Downton Abbey movies. His time and cause of death have not been publicly shared.
