Wizz Air outage: wizz air online booking and check-in services unavailable
wizz air will pause access to online booking and check-in services while it carries out a scheduled systems upgrade, authorities and the airline have said. The outage is set to run from 23: 00 CET on 25 February 2026 until 08: 00 CET on 26 February 2026.
Wizz Air systems upgrade
The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) announced that the online booking and check-in services of an airline operating flights from the Eugen Doga Chisinau International Airport would be temporarily unavailable between 23: 00 CET on 25 February 2026 and 08: 00 CET on 26 February 2026. The measure was implemented as a result of a scheduled systems upgrade.
“With reference to an official statement issued by Wizz Air, the Civil Aviation Authority informs passengers that, between 23: 00 CET on 25 February 2026 and 08: 00 CET on 26 February 2026, the online booking and check-in services will be temporarily unavailable due to a scheduled systems upgrade, ” the AAC said.
Timing and operations unaffected
Both the AAC and the airline stressed that all flights will operate schedule during the outage. Passengers who have already completed check-in or downloaded their boarding pass will not be affected.
Airport check-in free of charge
The AAC noted that, during the specified period, airport check-in would be available free of charge for travelers who need it. The airline reiterates that if passengers require assistance while online services are paused, airport counters will provide check-in at no cost.
Advice to passengers traveling
The airline recommended that passengers travelling during the outage complete online check-in and download boarding passes before the planned system outage begins. The airline also said it expects all services to be fully restored immediately after the maintenance window concludes.

We appreciate our customers’ understanding as we complete this essential work needed for an even better experience, ” said Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager, Olivia Harangozo.
The airline additionally put together a dedicated playlist intended to help passengers pass the time during the outage.

For passengers flying from Eugen Doga Chisinau International Airport during the maintenance window, plan to check in and download boarding passes ahead of 23: 00 CET on 25 February 2026 or be prepared to use the free airport check-in service until 08: 00 CET on 26 February 2026.
