Snoop Dogg plays private canteen set ahead of Swansea City home debut
American rapper and Swansea City co-owner Snoop Dogg performed an invitation-only, hour-long set at the Au Vodka headquarters canteen in Swansea before attending his first home game for the club. The unexpected office party — later a nightclub-style event for more than 400 guests — preceded a Tuesday night match that finished 1-1 with Preston North End, a fixture that has put the spotlight on the club and local businesses.
Private hour-long set at the Au Vodka canteen
Staff at the Au Vodka headquarters said Snoop Dogg played a full hour of "back to back classics" in the company canteen after an originally planned DJ set expanded into a longer performance. The canteen had been a casual space where staff were playing ping pong and pool just 24 hours earlier, but was transformed into a nightclub for the invitation-only event.
Au Vodka co-owner Jackson Quinn called the night "absolutely nuts" and said: "We will all remember this until we are looking back on this in our 80s saying 'I can't believe Snoop played in our office'. " Quinn said the global star was only meant to DJ originally but the appearance turned into "an hour of back to back classics", amid cheers from the crowd.
Guests, staff and a last-minute atmosphere
Charlie Morgan, also an Au Vodka co-owner, described the gig as "really last minute but almost every member of their staff was there", along with friends, family and local influencers. The event drew more than 400 guests to the canteen converted into a party space.
Among those in attendance were Welsh boxer Joe Cordina and former Swans striker Lee Trundle.
Snoop’s link to the event through Charlie Sloth
The appearance was arranged through the pair's business partner and DJ Charlie Sloth, who they said has access to "the hip hop rap world". Morgan and Sloth both said they would be attending the game that night and were "hopeful for a win".
Swansea City match and towel request
Snoop Dogg was in the stands for Swansea City's match with Preston North End on Tuesday night, a fixture that ended 1-1. He had also asked fans to serenade him by twirling towels on his first visit to the club, a request made as part of his arrival for the match.
Matchday programme, club figures and local coverage
Snoop Dogg is the cover star of the latest digital matchday programme as the worldwide icon attended his first swansea city game on Tuesday night. The programme includes an interview with Lawrence Vigouroux reflecting on the team's upturn in form under head coach Vitor Matos, the latest news from the Swansea City AFC Foundation, and views from chief executive Tom Gorringe and head coach Vitor Matos.
There is also a guide to the evening's visitors as Paul Heckingbottom brought Preston North End to SA1. The matchday package is listed as © 2026 Swansea City Association Football Club Limited and is designed and built by Other Media, powered by Clubcast.
Investment, local impact and club visibility
Commenting on the impact of Snoop Dogg's investment in the club and local businesses, Jackson Quinn said: "It's amazing for putting Swansea on the map. That's something we actively aim to do all the time. He's a global name and maybe one of the most famous people in the world. "
The combination of the private Au Vodka event and Snoop's first home appearance has drawn attention from staff, local figures and fans alike, with organisers and guests noting both the spontaneity of the gig and the hope for on-field success that night.
