Sky One Channel relaunches on Feb 24 as sky one channel returns to Sky Q, Sky Stream and Sky Glass
Sky One Channel returns to the electronic programme guide on Tuesday, February 24, as sky one channel reappears after a six-year absence from TV guides. The relaunch reshuffles channel numbers, bundle access and programming, with new Sky Originals and Saturday Night Live UK set for the channel.
Launch date, legacy and access tiers
The channel will be available from Tuesday, February 24, and is back on-air for subscribers with Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q. The channel had been retired in September 2021 and is described both as having first launched 32 years ago and elsewhere as having launched in 1989; it was removed from TV guides in September 2021 before now returning.
Access details differ across the rollout: one description says the resurrected channel is available only to viewers who subscribe to the Ultimate TV bundle, which starts from £22 per month, while other material says Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Signature and Sky + customers will have access. The most affordable Sky TV Essentials package, priced at £15, is said not to include the channel.
Sky One Channel programming: new originals and returning favourites
The new Sky One Channel slate will include brand-new Sky Originals such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, alongside returning programmes Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper and Ted. Promotional copy for The Dyers’ Caravan Park teases: "No scripts. No safety net. Just Danny and Dani taking on the ultimate family challenge, reviving the Great British holiday... one caravan at a time!" and notes the show is coming on 24 February to Sky One.
Saturday Night Live UK: exclusivity, launch timing and cast
The rebooted Sky One Channel will be the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK in the UK. One notice says the sketch show will launch later this year; another gives a firm release date for Saturday Night Live UK of March 21, 2026. The listed SNL UK cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
Channel replacements and guide reshuffle for Sky Q, Glass and Stream
The relaunch of Sky One Channel replaces Sky Showcase and Sky Max, consolidating entertainment in one place. Customers are reassured they will not lose content: favourites from Sky Showcase and Sky Max will move to the new channel.
For Sky Q users, listed guide moves include Sky Comedy to channel 113, Sky Documentaries to 114, Sky Crime to 121, Sky Arts to 122, Challenge to 130, Sky Sci‑Fi to 145 and Sky Nature to 124. For Sky Glass and Sky Stream users, listed changes include Sky Comedy to 109, Sky Documentaries to 110, Sky Crime to 111, Sky Arts to 112, Challenge to 116 and Sky Sci‑Fi to 114.
Set-top box, bundles and added streaming services
Sky Stream is described as the latest set-top box released by the R& D teams, and the flagship Ultimate TV bundle is said to include access to 30 extra channels not available with Essential TV. The list of named channels available on the Ultimate bundle includes Sky One, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Witness, U&Gold, MTV, Sky Crime, Comedy Central and National Geographic.
One outline says the Ultimate package will be overhauled in the coming weeks to add subscriptions to five standalone streaming services, including Disney+ and the upcoming HBO Max, at no extra cost. The package is also said to include a Netflix Standard with Adverts plan noted as worth £5. 99 on its own.

" Kerr adds: "Building on the iconic heritage of Sky One, the channel will be a one-of-a-kind destination that’s big, bold and bursting with energy, bringing together brand-new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, returning favourites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., and serving as the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.
