Rush 2027 Tour Dates — rush 2027 tour dates announced for UK and EU
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced the UK and EU leg of the band's Fifty Something tour, listing shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London in March 2027 and confirming details of tickets and VIP packages. The announcement also confirms new touring personnel and rehearsal plans as the band prepares distinct two-set shows drawn from a catalogue of 40+ songs.
Rush 2027 Tour Dates: cities and venues
The Fifty Something tour will include dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London in March 2027. Specific venues named in the announcement are Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, Manchester Co-op Live and two nights at London’s The O2. The Glasgow OVO Hydro date is Monday, March 8, 2027, with doors at 6. 30pm.
New lineup and rehearsal plans
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined on the Fifty Something tour by former Jeff Beck drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. Loren Gold has worked with The Who and has played with The Who for the last 12 years or more, and also Chicago. The band say their first rehearsal with Loren Gold “starts very soon. ” Anika Nilles was described as having the massive job of stepping into the late-great Neil Peart’s shoes; she is also referred to as a German virtuoso.
Setlists and show format
The run will form part of a larger 18-date European tour. The special “evening with” shows will see the band playing two sets each night. Each show will feature a distinct selection of songs and Rush will build each night’s setlist from a catalogue of 40+ songs including their greatest hits and fan favourites. Geddy Lee said: “We can’t wait to get back to all these cities we haven’t played in so long, as well as hitting some new places we’ve yet to play. ” He added that “Both Alex and I are loving the hours of rehearsal time we’re spending with Anika and now Loren, learning around 40 songs which will enable us to keep the shows evolving, playing some different songs on different nights. ”

History, context and reactions
These March 2027 shows will be the first the band have played in this country for 13 years, the last UK visit having coincided with the tour in support of their nineteenth and final studio album, Clockwork Angels. The band did not tour the UK as part of their subsequent final tour, R40, on which they played their very final show at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles on August 1, 2015. It will also be Rush's first shows in the UK and Europe since the death of beloved drummer Neil Peart in 2020. The threesome of Lee, Lifeson and Peart performed together between 1974 and 2015, when Peart retired from music; the band disbanded three years later. A reunion tour began in 2026 with Anika Nilles filling in for Peart, and the new European leg is presented as a continuation of that return to the road. The band have sold over 42 million albums worldwide, been nominated for seven Grammy Awards and won ten Juno Awards.
Alex Lifeson joked about the new lineup, saying: “It’s going to free us up to work on those dance moves as well. ” Geddy Lee replied: “You’re creating an unrealistic expectation!... Well, we’re pretty good dancers. I’ll be your J-Lo to your Beyonce. ” Lee also said: “We are thrilled that many of our longstanding crew have come back to help us design the kind of Rush show that fans have grown accustomed to expect from us. We dearly hope you will come along and help us celebrate 50 years of Rush music, while giving Neil the long overdue tribute he so richly deserves. ”
Fans are reminded that the band’s last concert in Los Angeles in 2025 featured a particular setlist; organisers say to expect a different setlist for the new tour, though many of those songs may still feature.
rush 2027 tour dates remain the focal point of this new announcement as Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson finalise rehearsals, personnel and ticketing details for their return to the UK and Europe.
