Lady Noriega says Pablo Escobar killed her fiancé: “I was left with the dress”

On La casa de los famosos Colombia 3, actress and singer Lady Noriega said pablo escobar ordered the killing of her boyfriend, who was due to be her husband, a revelation that brought a stunned silence to her fellow contestants.

She told housemates in a quiet moment

While folding clothes in the bedroom of the reality show, Lady Noriega — best known for playing Pepita Ronderos in Pasión de Gavilanes — told fellow contestants, “Mató a mi novio, con el que yo me iba a casar, ” and confirmed the answer when asked directly: “sí. ” The revelation surprised the other participants and prompted requests for more details.

Pablo Escobar ordered the reprisal, she says

Lady Noriega said the narcotraficante, who “pasó por el Congreso de la República, ” ordered the homicide. The context she and other interviews provide places the capo as the leader of the Medellín cartel until he was killed “el 2 de diciembre de 1993, cuando tenía 44 años. ”

Wedding plans, dates and what she kept

She said she had been planning to marry the man: he was killed “el 3 de julio” and the wedding had been scheduled for “el 15 de agosto. ” She described being left with the dress and the invitations — “me quedé con el vestido, con las tarjetas” — and even showed housemates how she had been furnishing the home, mentioning rugs, curtains and furniture that were being prepared for their life together. Lady Noriega also confirmed she was not with him at the moment of the homicide; earlier that day she had accompanied him to his office and did not go into how the killing was carried out.

How the relationship drew dangerous attention

Lady Noriega has recounted that the episode dated back to the years after her participation in the Concurso Nacional de Belleza, when the cartel leader showed an insistence to meet her even while he was confined in La Catedral — the prison he had arranged to avoid extradition to the United States. Friends from the contest told her that he wanted to invite her to the prison; she said she resisted and understood the risk: “decirle no a un personaje de esos era echárselo de enemigo, ” a phrase she repeated in the house and in a 2022 interview on the program Yo, José Gabriel.

Kidnapping, deaths and exile

In later accounts she detailed that her then-fiancé, described as a young man from a family of Medellín businessmen, was kidnapped and killed alongside his brother by order of Escobar as reprisal for her refusal. She recalled being told that they had been killed and warned that survivors who pressed claims over stolen money would face the same fate. The attacks forced her family to leave the city and the country in exile; Lady Noriega said she lived for several years in Miami.

Aftermath: losses and professional help

Lady Noriega told the house that, beyond her fiancé, she watched friends and university classmates die and that many people close to her suffered. She described a difficult recovery that required professional support, noting that in therapy a key question about what she wanted to do with her life helped start her reconstruction.

Reality-show context and a contestant exit

The disclosure came after Lady Noriega entered La casa de los famosos Colombia 3 the week before. On the same broadcast cycle, creator and content creator Nicolás Arrieta became the octavo eliminado from the show: he left after five weeks with 7, 72% support. Arrieta recorded a video from the hotel where eliminated contestants stay, thanking followers and saying he felt he had shown “the person I am, ” while also admitting recent behavior had been partly a strategy to exit. He criticized the program’s repetition of entertainment — naming Juanse Laverde — and asked for more variety in activities.

Lady Noriega remains a participant in La casa de los famosos Colombia 3 and her account of those events has resurfaced this week on the program; the reality show continues its run with nominations and eliminations already underway.
