Shinedown to kick off Dance, Kid, Dance Act II Tour at Resch Center
The rock band Shinedown will return to the Resch Center on May 13 to launch its Dance, Kid, Dance Act II Tour. The kickoff concert, set for 7 p. m. ET, pairs the band with Coheed and Cambria and Black Stone Cherry as it builds toward the release of the band’s forthcoming album, EI8HT, due May 29.
Tour launch, lineup and new album
The May 13 date at the Resch Center will serve as the opening night of a global outing that the band is using to showcase new material and celebrate a catalog that includes mainstream rock staples. The set will likely weave new tracks from EI8HT with fan favorites such as “Second Chance, ” “45, ” “Enemies” and a cover rendition of “Simple Man. ” Doors and supporting-act schedules will be announced by the venue closer to the show.
Tickets for the Resch Center performance go on sale at 10 a. m. ET on Feb. 20, with prices starting at $61. Fans are advised to purchase through the venue box office or authorized local outlets.
Local dates, past visits and build-up
The world tour includes a May 16 stop at the Kohl Center in Madison as part of a broader North American run that will move on to additional cities and international dates. The Resch Center appearance marks the band’s first show in the area since April 2022, when Shinedown played the same arena on a previous tour.
Shinedown has a history of regional performances: the group played a sold-out stop at the old Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena in March 2019 and members have also appeared locally in smaller formats, including the Smith & Myers duo composed of lead singer Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers at area venues.
Fan reaction and promotional teases
In the days leading up to the announcement, the band’s social accounts were largely cleared and a series of enigmatic teases were posted, stoking fan speculation about a major reveal. Local venue social posts on Feb. 15 further signaled a pending announcement and helped fan communities prepare for the tour confirmation.
With the kickoff concert now set, anticipation is likely to grow for both the live shows and the new album release at the end of May. Concertgoers should expect a high-energy production that blends arena rock anthems with the band’s newer sonic directions.
Additional ticketing details, support-set times and any VIP packages will be released by the venue and official tour outlets in the weeks ahead. Fans planning to attend are encouraged to monitor the venue’s updates and purchase tickets early, as prior local Shinedown appearances have sold quickly.
