Alan Carr, the winner of Celebrity Traitors, is embarking on a new venture in hospitality. After his triumphant finish in the hit BBC show, he announced plans to acquire a historic castle. This endeavor will be documented in his upcoming Disney+ series titled Castle Man.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Carr expressed his desire to purchase a castle after enjoying his stay at Ardross Castle, the filming location for Celebrity Traitors. “I fancy a move and I loved being in The Traitors castle, so I thought, ‘I’m going to get myself one,’” Carr shared. His aim is not just to own a castle but to create a welcoming space for the public.

Community Focus

Alan Carr wants a castle that is more than a private residence.
He envisions a community hub where people can enjoy activities like cream teas.
His plan includes having animals, including donkeys, on the property.

At 49 years old, Carr recently moved out of his Kent home shared with ex-partner Paul Drayton. This new project represents a fresh start in his life.

Alan Carr is becoming well-known in property circles. In collaboration with Amanda Holden, he has been renovating villas abroad. Their project, Amanda & Alan’s Spanish Job, proved lucrative, generating a profit of €180,000 (£156,000), which was donated to charity. They are now exploring similar opportunities in Greece.

Ardross Castle, a 19th-century estate in Ross-shire, serves as the backdrop for Celebrity Traitors. The castle’s history dates back to the late 1700s when the 1st Duke of Sutherland acquired it and constructed a hunting lodge.
