Subaru’s Electric SUV Release Timeline
Subaru has been expanding its electric vehicle lineup since its first model in 2022. The brand’s upcoming three-row electric SUV will be introduced alongside Toyota’s electric offerings. Jeff Walters, Subaru America’s chief operating officer, announced the soon-to-be-revealed three-row EV during a discussion with Automotive News.
Production Details
This new model will be manufactured at Toyota’s facility located in Georgetown, Kentucky. Production is scheduled to commence later this year. Notably, Subaru’s three-row electric SUV will be joined in the production line by Toyota’s 2027 Highlander EV.
Specifications and Features
While Subaru has not disclosed extensive details, there is speculation about the vehicle’s battery options. Both Subaru and Toyota are likely to offer two battery sizes: 77 kWh and 95.8 kWh. These batteries could enable driving ranges of up to 287 miles and 320 miles, respectively.

Design and Powertrain

Starting in 2026, Subaru and Toyota’s EVs in the United States will include a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. This will allow for convenient recharging at Tesla Supercharger stations. Pricing and Market Position
The Subaru three-row electric SUV, alongside the 2027 Toyota Highlander, is expected to launch with a starting price range between $50,000 and $55,000. Pricing details are anticipated to be released nearer to their official debut.
