United Airlines is reintroducing its direct service from Glasgow to New York/Newark, beginning on May 9, 2026. The route will operate daily, offering a convenient travel option for residents in and around Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city.

The flights will depart from Glasgow at 2 PM, landing in Newark around 4:35 PM local time. Return flights will leave Newark at 10:15 PM, arriving in Scotland at 10:10 AM the next day. United Airlines will utilize the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for this route.

Cabin and Seating Options

The aircraft will feature a total of 166 seats divided into three cabin classes:

  • 16 seats in United Premium Plus
  • 54 seats in Economy Plus
  • 96 standard economy seats
