The incident occurred on Monday, and the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) confirmed the seriousness of the situation through a recent statement.

- He remains optimistic despite the injury.
- Medical teams are collaborating with local doctors for further treatment.
Impact on the Team
The AOC has activated the Late Athlete Replacement option to adjust the Olympic team’s roster. Olympic debutant James Johnstone will be joining Adam Lambert and Jarryd Hughes for the men’s snowboard cross qualifying on Thursday.
Other Team Challenges
In addition to Bolton’s injury, Australia faced another setback. Misaki Vaughan, a competitor in the snowboard halfpipe, was ruled out after sustaining a head injury during training. She did not pass the required head impact assessment.
