Statements from the Captains

After winning the toss, Jatinder Singh expressed confidence in his team’s preparations. He highlighted that one game does not define their capability. “We’re gonna bowl first since there is a bit of moisture, and we want to utilize the conditions. Our preparations have been strong,” he stated.

In contrast, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka noted a significant change in their lineup, as key bowler Wanindu Hasaranga was unavailable for this match. “Unfortunately, our champion bowler, Hasaranga misses out, so we’ve had to make that change,” he remarked during the toss.
