At this event, Perry High School became the first to retire a jersey in its history. Williams, who graduated from Perry in 2019, expressed his gratitude and disbelief over the honor.

Williams’ high school career included impressive achievements. During his senior year, he averaged 25 points per game and was named Chandler Unified School District Player of the Year. He also led the Pumas to the Class 6A state final four in the 2018-19 season.

Today, Jalen Williams is averaging 16.4 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in his current season with the Thunder. His journey serves as an inspiration, not just for the Pumas, but for aspiring athletes everywhere.
