El Al, Israel’s flagship airline, has announced the introduction of nine new direct flight routes, enhancing its global connectivity. The new destinations will include major cities in Asia and Europe, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
New Routes and Destinations
The highlighted new routes will be available starting in 2026 and 2027, featuring direct flights to:
- Hanoi, Vietnam
- Seoul, South Korea
- Manila, Philippines
- Catania, Italy
- Cagliari, Italy
- Basel, Switzerland
- Zagreb, Croatia
- Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Copenhagen, Denmark
Flight Operations and Schedules
El Al’s flights to Hanoi, Seoul, and Manila will operate three times per week, providing an essential service to enhance tourism and economic ties in the region. The airline states that this expansion marks a new phase of growth, offering more options for international travelers.
Additionally, Sun d’Or, a subsidiary of El Al, will manage the short-haul routes, aiming to refresh its leisure destination offerings. The introduction of these routes comes after a strategic emphasis on increasing flight availability to Asia, North America, and Europe.
Ticket Sales and Fares
Ticket sales for flights to Hanoi opened on Sunday, with round-trip fares starting at $899 for flights commencing in October 2026. Seoul ticket sales are anticipated to begin in May, with flights scheduled to start in March 2027. Details for Manila tickets are forthcoming.
For the newly added European destinations, round-trip fares will begin at:
- $339 for Cagliari and Dubrovnik
- $389 for Catania
- $439 for Basel
- $529 for Copenhagen
Expanding Global Presence
This expansion signifies a substantial increase in El Al’s operational capabilities, as the airline expects to serve around 60 direct destinations—an unprecedented number in its history. Alongside the new routes, the airline plans to increase flight frequencies for existing high-demand routes.
El Al is also bolstering its services in North America, operating its largest flight schedule to date, featuring up to 55 weekly flights. Flights to the Far East are seeing increased demand, with up to 16 weekly connections to Thailand and five to Japan.

As part of its growth strategy, El Al will also announce new partnerships with international carriers. These collaborations will aim to enhance connection options for travelers, facilitating broader access to additional destinations worldwide.
