Cristian Javier draws the start for Houston. He returned from Tommy John surgery late last season.
Javier posted a 4.62 ERA and a 1.270 WHIP over eight starts and 37 innings after his return.
Reid Detmers will start for the Angels. He moves back into the rotation after pitching exclusively in relief during 2025.
In relief work last year, Detmers posted a 3.96 ERA, a 1.304 WHIP, and recorded 80 strikeouts in 63.2 innings.
