The internal investigation revealed that these employees misused their positions by soliciting commissions and accepting bribes from partner companies. miHoYo confirmed the convictions, stating that the four were found guilty of accepting bribes as non-state personnel.

Sentences Imposed

  • One employee received a sentence of 1 year and 4 months.
  • Two employees were sentenced to 1 year and 3 months each.
  • One employee was sentenced to 6 months in prison.

Company’s Actions Against Misconduct

In addition to the prison sentences, miHoYo took further actions against misconduct. One employee from the Genshin Impact marketing team was dismissed for exploiting his position to benefit his own company, which created a significant conflict of interest.
