Olympic Events: Watch Parties and Olympians Join Amerks Game
With the highly anticipated Milan and Cortina Winter Olympics set to commence this Friday, the Rochester area is gearing up for a festive celebration. The official opening ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, featuring Team USA, which will field 235 athletes. Notably, three athletes hail from the Rochester region.

Olympians at Amerks Game
The Rochester Americans will honor former Olympians during their game against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Friday night. The event will be held at the Blue Cross Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
- Honorees: Brian Gionta and David Leggio, both of whom represented Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics
- Autograph Session: Gionta will sign autographs during the first intermission; Leggio will be available in the second
- Free Giveaway: The first 2,500 attendees will receive a replica of the 2018 U.S. Men’s Olympic Team photo, presented by The UPS Store
