Sissoko’s Exit Advances, Dwomoh Negotiates with Middle East Club
Moussa Sissoko’s future at Watford is uncertain as the club captain has been excluded from the last two matchday squads. His last appearance came during a 5-1 FA Cup loss at Bristol City earlier this month. Sissoko’s last Championship start was on October 25 against Coventry.
Sissoko’s Imminent Departure
Currently, negotiations for Sissoko’s transfer are in progress ahead of the impending deadline on Monday. Since rejoining Watford in the summer of 2024, he has made 61 appearances for the club. During his initial time at Watford from 2021 to 2022, he played 38 matches.
Dwomoh’s Potential Move
Alongside Sissoko, another midfielder, Dwomoh, is in discussions regarding a move to a Middle Eastern club. The Belgian youth international has had limited playing time this season, featuring for only a minute against West Brom in October.
- Dwomoh has not been included in a matchday squad since October.
- He made 11 appearances in the 2024/25 season, showing significant potential.
- Interest from Turkey was previously rejected by Watford.
Valon Behrami, assistant to the sporting director, confirmed that efforts are being made to find a resolution for Dwomoh’s situation. Despite the potential he has shown, both head coach Paulo Pezzolano and Javi Gracia have not utilized him effectively, making a transfer likely this month.
