Trinity CineAsia has announced the acquisition of U.K. and Ireland distribution rights for the spy thriller “Scare Out.” Directed by the esteemed Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou, the film is a contemporary counter-espionage story that probes into the world of national security.

Written by Chen Liang, “Scare Out” follows a National Security team racing against time to capture spies who have leaked sensitive intelligence on China’s advanced fighter jet technology. As the investigation deepens, the narrative cleverly intertwines intelligence operatives with civilian life, heightening the tension.
Release Date and Preview Screenings
The film is set to release theatrically in the U.K. and Ireland on February 20, coinciding with the Lunar New Year celebrations. Additionally, select preview screenings will take place starting February 17, enabling a synchronized rollout with the Chinese release.
