Taiwanese Music Producer Yuan Weiren Passes at 57, Family Mourns

Taiwanese music producer Yuan Weiren, also known as Teacher Xiao Pang, passed away at the age of 57. His family shared the news on February 2, expressing gratitude to friends and supporters, stating he departed with their warmth.

Illness and Health Struggles

Yuan Weiren faced significant health challenges over the years. In 2018, he suffered a fall in Shanghai, which led to a brain hemorrhage and ultimately a diagnosis of an intracranial tumor. Following surgery, he spent an extended period recovering in Taitung County.

The situation worsened in 2020 when he experienced another fall, requiring emergency care in the intensive care unit.

Final Moments and Family Tribute

According to the Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taitung, Yuan Weiren passed away around 10 a.m. on February 2. His family has since taken charge of the funeral arrangements.

His sister, Yuan Aizhen, shared a heartfelt message on social media through producer Chen Zihong, stating that he left peacefully and will be buried in Taipei alongside their father, in a familiar and serene location.
