Central Hosts Winter Weekend Extravaganza
Central Pennsylvania’s winter weekend festivities are set to attract numerous attendees, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The weekend schedule includes significant sporting events that may lead to heavy traffic and parking challenges on campus.
Event Schedule: January 30-31
On Friday, January 30, the Penn State community anticipates a busy evening. Two major events will take place:
- Wrestling Match: BJC Dual against Nebraska at 8 p.m.
- Men’s Hockey Game: Competing against Michigan State at Pegula Ice Arena at 6 p.m.
Due to the influx of spectators, drivers should prepare for congestion around the area. All parking lots surrounding the Bryce Jordan Center will operate on a pre-paid basis, requiring patrons to secure a parking pass in advance. The fee is set at $5.50 and can be purchased via ParkWhiz.

Parking options for Friday night include:
- Stadium West
- Jordan East
- Porter North
Faculty, staff, and students may utilize their permits in these lots. For event day sales, the East Deck will charge $10 per vehicle.
Saturday Parking Information
On Saturday, January 31, additional parking management will be in effect near West Shore Home Field. This area, located between Bigler Road and Mount Nittany Medical Center, is overseen by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics.

- $40 at Eisenhower, East, and HUB decks
- $30 at Nittany Deck

Faculty, staff, and student permits are valid for evening and weekend parking in lots west of Bigler Road, with restrictions applied to certain areas listed below.
