Monster Hunter Wilds has made strides in improving its PC performance with a significant update released in January 2025. While the game has been enjoyable, particularly after selling 11 million copies, many players have experienced technical issues. This update marks the second installment in Capcom’s plan to enhance performance on computers.

Key January Update Details

The latest patch, known as Ver. 1.040.03.01, was released on January 28, 2025. It aims to address performance hiccups, especially the unintended frame rate drops observed in Base Camp and Grand Hub areas. These drops were linked to unclaimed content, which a Reddit user had previously identified.

Upcoming Future Enhancements

Capcom has indicated further improvements in the upcoming Ver. 1.041 update scheduled for February 18, 2025. This release is expected to enhance stability and performance across all platforms.
