School Status
As of now, no announcements have been made regarding Monday’s school schedule from the Ottawa Carleton District School Board or the Ottawa Catholic School Board.
City Snow Removal Efforts
City services have been actively managing the heavy snowfall this winter. As of January 23, Ottawa recorded 143.5 cm of snow this season, exceeding the average for this period by 15 to 20 cm. The number of snowfall days this year is also above normal.
Quentin Levesque, Director of Roads & Parking Services, assured residents that crews are prepared for snow removal. A winter parking ban will begin on Monday, January 26, at 10 a.m. to facilitate cleanup efforts.
