Key Road Changes Starting Friday

  • 10 a.m. Friday: Biscayne Boulevard will shift to a counterflow pattern. Northbound lanes between Southeast Second Street and Northeast Second Street will close. Traffic from Chopin Plaza will be redirected to southbound lanes until reaching Northeast Second Street.
  • 9 p.m. Saturday: Northbound traffic at Chopin Plaza will be diverted westbound on Southeast Second Street. Southbound routes will be redirected at Northeast First Street with a continuation down Southeast Second Avenue.
  • 10 p.m. Saturday: Biscayne Boulevard will close to traffic between Northeast Sixth Street and Northeast Ninth Street. Northbound traffic will be redirected westbound on Northeast Sixth Street, while southbound access remains open.
  • 2 a.m. Sunday: Closure of Biscayne Boulevard between Northeast Sixth Street and Northeast 13th Street begins. All traffic, including that from the Port of Miami, will be rerouted westbound on Northeast Sixth Street.

Citywide Road Closures

Widespread road closures will start at 5 a.m. on Sunday. The roads are anticipated to reopen around 2 p.m. However, the counterflow on Biscayne Boulevard is expected to remain in place until approximately 5 p.m.
