Trump Floods Truth Social with 70 Midnight Posts in One Hour
After returning from Davos, Switzerland, former President Donald Trump engaged in an extensive overnight posting session on Truth Social. In less than one hour, he shared over 70 posts and reposts, marking a notable return to the platform he frequently utilizes for policy announcements.
Trump’s Midnight Social Media Spree
Trump’s activity occurred shortly after his return to Washington, D.C., covering approximately 4,200 miles from the World Economic Forum. During his midnight posts, Trump expressed his opinions on various political figures, including:
- Ilhan Omar, Congresswoman from Minnesota
- Joe Biden, former President
- Gavin Newsom, Governor of California
- Kamala Harris, former presidential opponent
In addition to his political commentary, Trump promoted MELANIA, a $40 million documentary about First Lady Melania Trump. He also repeated claims regarding the 2020 election fraud and took credit for “saving TikTok,” following a recent agreement that permits the platform to continue operating in the U.S.
Usage of Truth Social
Truth Social serves as Trump’s preferred platform for sharing updates and major announcements. However, a Pew Research Center study indicates that only 3% of Americans engage with this platform. Despite its limited reach, Trump leveraged this space to disseminate views and media clips, particularly from pro-Trump outlets like Fox News, NewsMax, and Breitbart.
Following a brief period of silence, Trump resumed posting around 7 a.m. ET. House Speaker Mike Johnson commented on Trump’s grueling schedule, suggesting the former president sleeps only about three hours each night. Johnson defended Trump, claiming he is exceptionally productive compared to others in Washington.
Health and Appearance During Davos
While in Davos, Trump appeared with a noticeable bruise on his left hand. When questioned about it, he explained, “I clipped it on the table,” and humorously advised against aspirin use to avoid bruising.
Trump’s energetic presence on Truth Social showcases his ongoing engagement with supporters, despite the platform’s limited user base and the controversies surrounding many of his statements.
