Search for Shooting Suspect Ends, Suspect Remains Unfound
The search for the suspect who shot two Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officers in the Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood has concluded without the suspect being found. Shooting Incident Overview
The incident occurred on January 19, 2026, around 8:21 PM. Officers from the North Precinct responded to reports of a weapon threat on Northeast 21st Avenue and Northeast Clackamas Street. Upon arrival, they encountered the suspect, who began firing at them, injuring two officers.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid-30s, sporting facial hair and wearing:

- Black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt
- Black pants and black shoes
- Carrying a black backpack and a green shopping bag
Authorities believe he is armed with a knife and handgun, making him potentially dangerous. Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or location is urged to call 911 immediately.
