Though the original LinkedIn post was likely deleted due to non-disclosure agreements, Rockstar Games has a history of supporting fans facing terminal illnesses. In the past, the company allowed a terminally ill fan to play Red Dead Redemption 2 ahead of its official release.
This trend is not isolated to Rockstar Games. Last year, Gearbox Software invited a cancer patient to play Borderlands 4 early as well. Such acts showcase the gaming industry’s growing compassion towards fans grappling with severe health challenges.
