A woman is in critical condition following a violent dispute in Rougemont, located in Montérégie, on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 PM when officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) responded to a call at a building on Petite-Caroline Street.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the woman suffering from severe injuries. She was urgently transported to a nearby hospital, where her condition remains serious, with fears for her life. In addition to the woman, a man involved in the altercation also sustained significant injuries; however, his life is not in danger, according to SQ spokesperson Béatrice Dorsainville.
