The Wikimedia Foundation recently celebrated its 25th anniversary by announcing strategic partnerships with leading AI technology companies. This initiative aims to enhance its commercial product, Wikimedia Enterprise, which facilitates large-scale reuse and distribution of Wikipedia content.

The foundation disclosed its collaborations not only with Google, a partnership announced in 2022, but also with Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI, and Perplexity. - A “25 Years of Wikipedia” time capsule narrating the site’s journey, featuring founder Jimmy Wales.
- A livestreamed celebration event on January 15, at 4:00 p.m. UTC, available on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
