Police Fatally Shoot Man Armed with Bow
In Gunnedah, a tragic incident unfolded when police fatally shot a man who was armed with a bow and arrow. The situation began on a Friday when law enforcement responded to a call expressing concern for the man’s welfare at a residence on Quia Road.

Upon arrival, authorities engaged with the man outside his home. However, the situation escalated as the man retreated inside, only to emerge moments later wielding a bow and arrow.

- As the man aimed the bow at the officers, one of the police officers discharged their firearm.
The man sustained a gunshot wound and received attention from NSW Ambulance paramedics on the scene. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
