Lakewood Shooting: Teen Among Three Killed, Suspect Detained
A tragic incident in Lakewood has left three individuals dead, including a teenage girl. The shooting occurred in a residential home, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.
Fatal Shooting Details
On Thursday morning, emergency services responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon around 7:53 a.m. The location was identified as the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies found the victims—a woman, a man, and a 17-year-old girl—who all suffered gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Victims and Investigation
- The identities of the victims have not been disclosed as authorities await notification of their family members.
- According to Lt. Daniel Vizcarra from the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, all three victims were believed to be family members.
- A female relative, who fled the home, was detained for questioning but is not considered a suspect.
Deputy David Yoo confirmed that a firearm was recovered inside the residence during the investigation. As of now, officials do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
