Fred Warner Out, Ricky Pearsall Doubtful for 49ers vs. Seahawks Game
The San Francisco 49ers will be without linebacker Fred Warner for their divisional playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed this during a Thursday press conference.
Fred Warner’s Injury Status
Warner, recovering from an ankle injury, will not be activated from injured reserve in time for the game. Although the 49ers recently opened his 21-day practice window, his participation has been limited.
Shanahan mentioned that Warner “looked good” but ultimately determined that he is not ready for game action yet. If San Francisco wins, Shanahan expressed confidence that Warner would be available for the NFC Championship Game.
Other Injury Updates
In addition to Warner, safety Ji’Ayir Brown will also miss the matchup due to a hamstring issue. Several other players are facing doubts about their availability:
- Ricky Pearsall (knee) – Questionable
- Dee Winters (ankle) – Questionable
- Luke Gifford (quad) – Questionable
- Jacob Cowing (hamstring) – Questionable
The team will have to navigate these injury challenges as they prepare for a crucial game against their divisional rivals.
