Candidate Profiles

Bullen transitioned to the NFL in 2012 with the Miami Dolphins, eventually serving as assistant defensive line coach and linebackers coach. He spent time with the Cardinals before joining the Giants.

Demarcus Covington, 36, has previous experience as a defensive coordinator with the New England Patriots in 2024. That season, New England ranked 22nd in total defense but 10th against the pass. Covington began his career as a wide receiver at Samford University before shifting to coaching as a graduate assistant.

His NFL coaching journey includes assisting at UAB and Ole Miss, before joining the Patriots in 2017. Covington contributed to the Patriots’ Super Bowl LIII victory in 2019, where they held the Rams to just three points.
