Choose Stealth or Chaos with Helldivers 2’s Newest Warbond Update
The Helldivers 2 community is buzzing over the newest Warbond update, named Redacted Regiment. Set for release on January 20, this update introduces a variety of tools designed for players who favor stealth and precision in their gameplay.
New Weapons in the Redacted Regiment Warbond
The Redacted Regiment brings three innovative weapons to enhance gameplay:
- R-72 Censor: A mid-range, sniper-like rifle featuring an integrated suppressor for silent operations.
- AR-59 Suppressor: A fully automatic assault rifle equipped with a built-in suppressor, ideal for rapid engagements.
- P-35 Re-Educator: A secondary pistol that fires darts causing ‘delirium’ in organic targets and malfunctions in non-organic ones.
New Tactical Tools and Stratagems
This update also provides players with new tactical opportunities. One notable addition is a C4 backpack. It allows players to detonate explosives either individually or in unison from afar. This feature is perfect for taking down enemy bases or armored units.
Additionally, a throwable Lure Mine will distract foes with light and sound before detonating when enemies come near. These tools enhance the stealthy approach many players prefer.
Armor Sets and Gameplay Enhancements
The Redacted Regiment includes two new armor sets designed to support stealth gameplay:
- Both sets feature the Reduced Signature passive, minimizing noise and detection range by enemies.
A smokescreen booster, known as Concealed Insertion, is another appealing feature. This deploys a smokescreen when entering enemy territory via a Hellpod, aiding players in covert drops.
Cosmetic Items and Pricing
In addition to these gameplay elements, the Warbond offers new cosmetic capes for players looking to personalize their characters. Similar to standard premium Warbonds, the Redacted Regiment will be available for 1,000 Super Credits, Helldivers 2’s premium currency.
