Jovana Rios Cisnero, the executive director of Women’s Link, announced that the women would testify before public prosecutors in due course. Gema Fernandez, legal director for Europe at Women’s Link, clarified that the complaint was lodged in Spain rather than the Caribbean due to more favorable legal frameworks for gender-based violence and trafficking.
