Flea Unveils Solo Album, Announces Tour, Debuts Song with Thom Yorke
Flea, the renowned bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is returning to his jazz roots with his inaugural solo album, titled Honora. The album is set to release on March 27, through Nonesuch Records. To accompany this announcement, Flea has unveiled a new single, “Traffic Lights,” which features collaborations with Thom Yorke and Josh Johnson.
About the Album Honora
Honora, named after a cherished family member, consists of ten tracks, showcasing Flea’s musical versatility as he plays both bass and trumpet. The album includes the previously released single, “A Plea.” Flea composed and arranged all the songs, enlisting help from several notable musicians:

Flea’s Diverse Career
Flea has maintained a busy schedule alongside the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who released two albums in 2022—Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. Outside of music, he is also a celebrated memoirist, actor, and host of the podcast This Little Light. His first solo EP, Helen Burns, was released in 2012.
