Apple has released new firmware for AirPods Pro 3 users, coinciding with the upcoming iOS 26.3 update. The latest version, designated as build number 8B34, enhances performance and resolves issues from previous releases.
New Firmware Details
This update is part of Apple’s ongoing effort to improve the AirPods experience. The previous build was version 8B30, launched just before the holiday season. Like prior updates, the release notes for build 8B34 indicate “bug fixes and other improvements.”
How to Install the Latest Firmware
Installing this update is not a manual process. The firmware update occurs automatically under specific conditions:
- Your iPhone, iPad, or Mac must be running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
- Bluetooth must be enabled on your device.
- Your AirPods should be connected via Bluetooth.
- Your device needs to be connected to Wi-Fi.
- Connect the charging case to power.
- Place the AirPods in their charging case and close the lid.
- Keep the lid closed and ensure the AirPods are within Bluetooth range of your device for at least 30 minutes.
Once the update is complete, open the charging case to reconnect the AirPods and verify the firmware version once more.
