Arc Raiders Update 1.11.0 Introduces Abyss Set, Fixes, and Balancing Tweaks
Embark Studios has unveiled update 1.11.0 for their popular game, Arc Raiders. This update introduces the Abyss cosmetic set and includes significant balancing tweaks and fixes, directly responding to player feedback.
Abyss Cosmetic Set and Key Fixes
The recent update enhances the gameplay experience, particularly through adjustments to two critical elements: the Kettle and the Trigger ‘Nade.
Kettle Fire Rate Adjustment
- Fire Rate Reduced: The Kettle’s fire rate has been decreased from 600 to 450.
- Reason for Change: Previously, the high fire rate was mainly attainable through third-party macros, leading to an imbalance in gameplay.
Trigger ‘Nade Balancing
- Dominance in PvP: The Trigger ‘Nade was overly favored in player-versus-player encounters.
- Usage Tweaks: Adjustments aim to reduce its effectiveness as a “trigger-in-air” grenade while preserving its role as a sticky bomb.
- Damage Rebalancing: Damage falloff now focuses more on the center of the explosion, reducing damage at greater distances.
- Detonation Delay: The time from triggering to detonation has increased from 0.7 seconds to 1.5 seconds, allowing players more reaction time.
Additional Fixes and Improvements
Besides the major balance changes, update 1.11.0 addresses a known exploit and improves gameplay conditions:
- Key Card Exploit Fixed: Players can no longer retain room keys after use, eliminating an unfair advantage.
