Experience a 15-Minute CES Demo of Lego Smart Brick
During the CES 2026 event in Las Vegas, a unique opportunity arose to experience the Lego Smart Brick firsthand. I managed to return to Lego’s suite to capture an immersive 15-minute demonstration video showcasing the brick’s capabilities.
Advanced Technology Behind the Capture
This year, I introduced a specialized camera to capture the demo. The Qoocam Q3, altered for VR180 by Siyang Qi, enabled the creation of spatial stereoscopic 3D videos. Viewers can enjoy the experience through a VR headset, on a flat screen, or by using phone sensors.
How to Watch the Immersive Demo
To watch the immersive video on a Quest headset, follow these steps:
- Click the video link on El-Balad or access it on YouTube.
- Open the YouTube VR app on your headset.
- Tap your profile picture in the upper right corner and select the History tab.
- Look for the newest video available there.
Optimizing Your Viewing Experience
For optimal viewing, adjust the video quality settings. Tap the gear icon and set the resolution to the highest available (likely 2160s). The video is uploaded in 8K resolution to enhance the viewing experience. However, as of now, YouTube has not displayed the full resolution. We hope this will be resolved soon.
