Anitta Reveals Shakira Collaboration on Upcoming Album Track

Brazilian star Anitta announced a duet with Colombian singer Shakira on a song from her upcoming album Equilibrivm. The record is scheduled for release on April 16 across digital platforms.

The duet and announcement

Anitta shared the news on Instagram and tagged Shakira. The post included a tarot-style illustration showing Shakira under the sun and Anitta under the moon.

The duet is titled “Choka choka”. Fans are already speculating about a joint appearance at Shakira’s free concert on May 2 at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.

Album strategy and language mix

The album title is stylized as EquilibrIVm, highlighting the Roman numeral IV. That formatting signals this is her fourth global-oriented studio album.

Equilibrivm will include songs in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Anitta has positioned the record to continue her international expansion.

Two-phase rollout and Brazilian focus

Producers say the project will be released in two phases. The first phase targets Brazilian listeners with new Portuguese tracks.

Those songs explore funk, samba and reggae. Confirmed collaborators on the Portuguese material include Luedji Luna and Rincon Sapiência.

Singles and recent performances

Some material has already reached the public. The single “Pinterest” was released earlier, and other tracks have been previewed live.

Equilibrivm follows her 2024 release, Funk Generation. The record arrives as Anitta celebrates her growing international presence.
