NBA Play-In Tournament East Bracket and Schedule Announced
With the regular season largely complete, the NBA Play-In Tournament will decide the final playoff berths. The event runs April 14 through April 17.
Format and stakes
The Play-In involves seeds seven through ten in each conference. The winners secure the final two playoff spots.
No. 7 hosts No. 8. The winner earns the No. 7 playoff seed. The loser faces the winner of No. 9 versus No. 10. The loser of the No. 9/10 game is eliminated.
Advancing teams will meet the top two seeds in each conference. In the East, those are the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. In the West, they are the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
