Tyson Fury Relocates Family to Isle of Man to Avoid “Nut Jobs”
Tyson Fury has moved his wife Paris and their seven children from Morecambe to the Isle of Man. He said repeated disturbances and safety worries prompted the relocation in 2025.
Why he left Morecambe
Fury described a pattern of disturbed visitors arriving at all hours. He said intercoms rang through the night and people parked outside asking for him.
One intruder scaled his 40-foot gates and claimed he had come to be adopted. Police attended that incident, Fury added.
Unusual encounters and threats
The boxer recounted encounters with intoxicated or eccentric visitors. He described a man dressed head-to-toe in seashells who claimed divine purpose.
His manager, Spencer Brown, reportedly defused one episode with a small cash payment. Fury also warned of foreign robbers targeting celebrities in the UK.
Security and privacy measures
Fury said his address is now confidential. He also mentioned having security measures such as an attack dog and gated access.
The decision to disconnect the gate intercom followed repeated night-time disturbances. He feared a harmless eccentric might one day be dangerous.
Choosing the Isle of Man
Fury considered moving overseas but opted for the Isle of Man. He cited English language, pound sterling and a familiar culture as key factors.
He said the island already feels like home. The boxer likes being able to buy a local paper and drink a coffee while blending in.
Boxing context and comeback
Fury returns from retirement for the fifth time after 16 months away. He will face Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
This bout marks his first home appearance since beating Derek Chisora in 2022. A victory would edge him closer to a potential fight with Anthony Joshua.
