Columbus Aviators head coach Ted Ginn, Jr., a notable former player for the Ohio State Buckeyes, faces a driving while intoxicated (DWI) charge in Texas. This incident occurred in Tarrant County, where he was arrested on Saturday afternoon.

DWI Incident Details

According to a Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office representative, Ginn was booked around 3:30 p.m. after an incident that began early Saturday morning. Police stopped him around 12:58 a.m. near 100 W Euless Blvd for making a wide right turn and failing to yield. A field sobriety test was administered at the scene.

Release and Bond

Coaching Responsibilities Shifted

Ginn was scheduled to coach the Columbus Aviators in a game against the Dallas Renegades on Sunday at noon. However, due to the incident, Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley will take over head coaching duties.
