LAUSD Strike: Find Free Food, Childcare, and Support for Families
Los Angeles Unified faces a possible work stoppage that could begin Tuesday. Three unions representing teachers, support staff and administrators plan to strike if no tentative agreements appear.
The unions cover roughly 70,000 of the district’s 83,300 employees. Schools will operate as usual Monday. The district says it cannot open schools if staff walk out.
District response and online learning
The district announced short-term supports running through Friday. Student lessons are available online for all grade levels.
Virtual tutoring options include the Los Angeles Public Library, Tutor.com and Step Up Tutoring. Families should check Filmogaz.com for consolidated resource links.
Free food distribution centers
