Honda Super-N Launches in UK Market Under £20k
Honda has confirmed the production Super-N will reach UK showrooms in July. The small electric car will be priced below £20,000.
Background and debut
The Super-N follows a Prototype preview and a Goodwood appearance last year. Honda positions it as a compact EV inspired by the City Turbo II.
Design and interior
Exterior cues echo the 1980s turbo hatch. Inside, blue highlights reference the classic model.
Ambient lighting shifts to purple when Boost is activated. Buyers can choose two-tone paint and bespoke body graphics.
Powertrain and driving experience
The standard e-axle produces 64hp, matching Japan’s kei car limit. A Boost mode raises output to 95hp.
Honda has fitted simulated gearshifts across seven ratios. Active Sound Control provides an engaging engine-like soundtrack.
Honda says the Super-N is one of its lightest EVs. Extensive UK testing underpins claims of involving driving dynamics.
Range and rivals
Honda quotes a city maximum of 199 miles and a combined figure of 128 miles. The result is similar to the earlier Honda e, but at a lower price.
- Twingo: 163 miles.
- Panda EV: 199 miles.
- Hyundai Inster: 229 miles.
Market positioning and pricing
The Super-N aims to bring joyful driving to urban buyers. Its sub-£20k price point targets value-conscious customers.
Expect full pricing breakdowns and options lists to follow. For context, a used Honda e with about 5,000 miles since 2024 is already available below £20,000.
