“Survivor Recap: Three Castaways Eliminated in Last Night’s Episode”
Last night’s episode delivered a dramatic turn for Survivor season 50. A fan-driven twist led to a rare triple exit from the newly merged Manulevu tribe on April 1.
In this Survivor recap, three castaways were eliminated from the game. Colby Donaldson, Kamilla Karthigesu, and Genevieve Mushaluk were the players sent home.
The Blood Moon twist and the immunity-reward challenge
Producers introduced a twist dubbed “Blood Moon.” The entire Manulevu tribe was split into three groups of five.
Candidates balanced on shrinking footholds between two walls. Christian Hubicki, Dee Valladares, and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick won immunity for their respective groups.
Stephenie outlasted the entire tribe. Her group earned a three-course Applebee’s meal as reward.
How the three voted off were chosen
Each group returned to old campsites to prepare for tribal council. Votes in each group led to the triple elimination.
Colby Donaldson was voted out after lingering concern about a prior foot injury. He sat in a group with Cirie Fields, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, Dee Valladares and Emily Flippen.
Kamilla Karthigesu was blindsided in her group. Chrissy Hofbeck persuaded Jonathan Young to change his vote, sealing Kamilla’s fate.
Genevieve Mushaluk recognized she was the target in her grouping. She played a “shot in the dark” advantage, but it did not save her.
None of the three eliminated players will join the jury. The jury will begin forming in episode seven.
Exile Island, idols, and extra votes
A separate twist led to exile island earlier in the episode. Ozzy Lusth found a scroll and chose Rizo Velovic to join him.
Both were exempt from the Blood Moon immunity-reward challenge. Three Billie Eilish boomerang idols remain active with Rizo, Ozzy, and Aubry Bracco.
Longtime player Cirie Fields holds an extra vote. Producers teased rising tension when the tribe reunites.
